 Jennifer Figueira has been involved in the foreign language field for over 25 years teaching, translating, and interpreting.  She attended college in the United States and in Argentina.  During her residence overseas she majored in psychology at the University of Buenos Aires while teaching English and Spanish. Ms. Figueira was later co-owner and director of an Art and Language Institute in the city of Buenos Aires. She gained experience working as an interpreter for holistic medicine conferences and lectures, translating health material, and has interpreted live for several guests on television.  Ms. Figueira also worked as a translator and transcriptionist for subtitles of movies and historical documentaries. In 2006 Ms. Figueira learned of the Delaware Court Interpreter Program and obtained her certification in 2008. She currently holds State Court Interpreter Certifications in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey, is a U.S. Board Certified Medical Interpreter, and was an Instructor at Delaware Technical and Community College for 10 years teaching credit and non-credit Spanish courses of different levels. She is a freelance interpreter and translator and has offered presentations on court interpreting in multiple institutions including Saint Joseph University in Pennsylvania. Ms. Figueira is a member of the following professional associations:
